For legal reasons\, they will be confiscated. \nIt’s a beer fest and we want everyone to have a good time\, but anyone that’s visibly intoxicated and acting inappropriately will be asked to leave. SUMMARY:Measure Your Head: Drinking & Sipping
DESCRIPTION:From the hosts: \nHello hello\,\nI know some of you have played before\, or attended before but just to refresh the minds… Measure your head is the name of the event\, and a chat with some beers is how we play the game… that did not rhyme.\nDrinking and Sipping : with Cellador Ales\, Craftsman Brewing\, Highland Park Brewing and Yorkshire Square Brewing\nThe day goes like this\, four breweries\, 2 beers each; For the first round\, we will tackle some easy peas\, yet interesting in process or flavor profile\, and for the second\, something weird and wacky\, more complex and possibly challenging. With each beer\, the brewer will stand up and address the crowd and basically talk about the beer and whatevery else may come to mind… then the attendees will drink and discuss or not\, with their table mates and we will start handing out next beers.. the day will go mostly like that\, and the plan is to get equal parts education on beer/brewer/brewery and fun. 5oz-8oz pours in a 9oz Barbara’s branded glass that you will be able to take home if you don’t manage to break it. Their will be food specials\, most likely but not promised\, and I believe that’s all folks! \nTickets can be purchased here.

SUMMARY:CASK'S NOT DEAD @Yorkshire Square Brewery!
DESCRIPTION:The Los Angeles County Brewers Guild is proud to partner with brewery member Yorkshire Square Brewery (Torrance) to bring you a unique new event to champion the storied art of proper cask ale. Cask’s Not Dead is our call-to-arms for the cask-passionate and our enticement of the cask-curious to come and celebrate the glory of the cask. Yorkshire Square has invited breweries from all over SoCal to send their champion beers for a one-of-a-kind opportunity: judgement for their merits as proper cask beer\, the enjoyment of hundreds of cask fans\, and all cellared and served by the crack team of cask commandos from Yorkshire Square. \nThe 2018 Cask’s Not Dead Fest is an invitational beer event featuring unlimited tastings of over 25 cask-conditioned ales from Southern California breweries. A highlight of the event is the fierce beer competition with all participating brewers vying for the ultimate titles of Lord of the Old School and The Magician of Weird; the former being for practitioners of fine art of traditional cask ale and the latter being awarded to wild fantasies in cask experimentation. \n\nThe VIP session from early entry for a 12:30 to 2pm session\, gets first crack at the fresh beer\, the live announcement of the competition winners (1pm)\, plus wicked glassware. The General Session from 2-6pm get the most tunes and some pretty decent glassware to boot. Food trucks will be on hand for the entire festival. \nStay tuned for updates and the list of participants!

SUMMARY:Melon Saison Bottle Release @the Tasting Room!
DESCRIPTION:We’re open from 12-9:30p\, and will be releasing our Melon Saison! \nBottles will be available on a first come first serve basis. \n  \nBarrel Aged Saison Blend with Sugar Cube Melons\nMelon Saison is the next in our series of Simple Saison blends re-fermented with fruit varieties that have subtle flavors. This series started under the name Saison du Chuchotements (Saison of Whispers in French). So far we have done Unfruited\, Green Pears\, Melon (honeydew and cantaloupe)\, Cherimoya\, Asian Pears\, and now Sugar Cube Melons. This is one of the very few brands that we blend from a single base beer\, which we call Simple Saison. Brewed with Pilsner Malt\, Floor Malted Wheat\, and Spelt\, then fermented and aged in white wine barrels with our house mixed cultures. We usually blend from vintages ranging in age from 4-8 months. \n \nThe Sugar Cube Melons come from Weiser Family farms in Tehahapi\, Ca. We have a special relationship with this farm. We use their Tehahapi Grain Project Heirloom wheat for our Lambic Inspired beers\, and we also used their beautiful Nantes Carrots for The Carrot King. These were some of the best tasting melons we’ve ever had. Similar in appearance and flavor to cantaloupes\, but packed with so much more flavor. We ate ungodly amounts of the fruit when we were processing them. You can visit with Alex the farmer and buy his fruit at the Sunday Hollywood and Wednesday Santa Monica Farmers Markets. Cheers! \n5.0%abv \nAvailable in 375ml ($9) & 750ml ($18) formats. \nTax + crv applied at checkout. \n  \n \n

SUMMARY:Cask Days!
DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to be joining the line up for Cask Days in Toronto\, Canada! \nFrom the hosts themselves: \n \nCask Days was founded in Toronto\, Ontario by Bar Volo in 2005. The festival has evolved into one of the most exciting beer events in the country and one of the largest cask festivals in the world. It celebrates the love for cask ale: unpasteurized\, unfiltered and naturally carbonated beer that is served direct from a cask barrel. Our aim is to give you a unique festival experience that celebrates not only beer but food\, art and music. \nCask Days welcomes breweries and cider makers from across North America to showcase their finest offerings. The festival encourages experimentation\, collaboration and limited releases that are specially made for the event. \nCask Days gathers some of Toronto’s most admired chef’s and top restaurants to compliment real food with real ale. \nMore information and tickets can be found through the event link!
