SUMMARY:One More Round · A Celebration of Eagle Rock Brewery
DESCRIPTION:One More Round \nA celebration of Eagle Rock Brewery with Cellador Ales \nFriday\, May 8th — 7:00PM  \nVerdugo Bar\, 3408 Verdugo Rd\, Los Angeles \nEagle Rock Brewery opened in November 2009 — the first microbrewery to open in Los Angeles in sixty years. Jeremy Raub helped found the Los Angeles Brewers Guild and served as its first president. Ting Su launched the Women’s Beer Forum in 2010\, a monthly gathering that ran for years and helped open doors for women in an industry that needed it. They made good beer\, advocated for their neighborhood before it was fashionable\, and built the infrastructure the whole LA craft beer scene still benefits from. When they closed in 2024 after fifteen years\, they left a real gap. \nBefore they closed\, Jeremy and Ting entrusted us with the final batch of Yearling\, their Flemish red ale. It’s been aging in our cellar since. We wanted to celebrate what was in that beer rather than just blend with it — to find two different ways into its complexity without stepping on its character. \nGhosts in the Wood blends Yearling with funky two-year-old ciders we had aging in barrels\, fermented with our house mixed cultures. It leans into the fermentation depth of the beer. Phantom Limb blends Yearling with a light saison aged on second-use raspberries — a nod to the natural pairing of Flemish red ales and red fruit. Both will be pouring on draft at Verdugo Bar. \nCome hang with Jeremy and Ting from Eagle Rock and Alex from Cellador. Raise a glass to what they built\, taste the beers\, and spend an evening at one of LA’s best neighborhood bars. \nNo tickets. No cover. Just good beer and good people.
